As the winter months blanket our community in joy and warmth, we at Progressive Property Group extend our heartfelt greetings to each and every one of you. As this new year blossoms, we find ourselves reflecting on the bonds that make our community truly special. We hope you can feel our gratitude and appreciation through these friendly reminders.
Preventing Freezing Pipes
As temperatures drop, it’s crucial to protect your pipes from freezing. Keep cabinet doors open to allow warm air to circulate around pipes. It may also be helpful to insulate exposed pipes, especially those in basements and crawl spaces. In addition, be sure to disconnect all hoses from outside spigots and store them inside.
Energy Efficiency Tips
From Colorado Springs Utilities themselves, they are excited to share some practical tips to keep your homes snug while being mindful of energy consumption!
- During winter, set your thermostat no lower than 68 degrees. This will prevent freeze breaks in the lines should you set the thermostat lower than 50 degrees.
- Change your heating/cooling system’s air filter every 30 days.
- Avoid using energy-hogging portable electric heaters.
- Set your water heaters temperature to no lower than 120 degrees. If you need assistance with this, please feel free to give us a call and one of our team members would be happy to help!
We want to express our gratitude for being part of this wonderful community. We look forward to continuing this journey with you!
